Welcome to the 2012 New York State High School Basketball Championships. We are extremely excited to work with the city and county of Albany to produce one of the best sporting events in the Capital Region! The combination of great location and bringing together the best boys and girls basketball teams from all over New York State is a recipe for success.

As always, we expect immense competition with an equal amount of sportsmanship to go along with each and every game. These competitors without question are tremendous athletes, but even more so they are terrific kids who are role models to other children out there. It is our goal to provide these participants with the best experience possible, so that their weekend will be one they will always remember.

I'd like to take the time to thank all of the Federation Officials and representatives who help to make this tournament possible. Your ongoing dedication and support is truly one of a kind. Additionally, many thanks go out to all of the volunteers who put in the many hours needed to make this event as great as it is each and every year.

Congratulations to all of the players, coaches and staff that have made it this far and regardless of outcome should leave the tournament with their heads held high! Best of luck!

Dear Fans,

Once again it is our pleasure to welcome the New York State Federation Tournament of Champions to Albany, New York. The student-athletes, coaches, and fans, represent the best that New York has to offer, and we are happy to have them visit the Capital City again this year.

Our team is committed to providing the best experience and atmosphere for everyone associated with the Tournament of Champions. The combined efforts of the City of Albany, Albany County, and a dedicated organizing committee will ensure the 2012 event is the best to date. The fans and participants will have a great experience in Albany both on and off the court.

I would like to commend the staff of the Times Union Center, for their time and effort in making this tournament a success. The arena team works year-round to create a winning atmosphere for the fans, and the Tournament of Champions is no exception. Thank you for serving as such a great host.
